I think this home is a beauty both inside and out. It looks stately from the front, but the side view is what you can’t miss! I love everything about it. This is a classic saltbox style plan as their website will explain. This plan really can look like something built back in the late 1700’s! You must visit their website to read the full description of this plan, it’s wonderful!
This is the Farmington Saltbox plan by Classic Colonial Homes, this plan is 3,248 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms. Shown above is the front view… the side view will blow you away! (Click the Farmington link above to view).
What a plan, right? Space for everyone to spread out and have their own space and enough room to all gather with friends and family. Facing the front of the plan there is a large living room on one side (complete with walk in fireplace!), the staircase and entry in the center, and a dining room on the other side. This house goes back quite far, so it appears much bigger from the side view. The bathroom suite is nice off to itself, and near the laundry area/powder room. It’s nice that there is a great kitchen/gathering room with a wonderful pantry! Pretty fabulous! Take note of all the windows!
I think the dark “colonial colors” make these plans look so authentic – like they were built long ago and lovingly cared for.
The upstairs has four wonderful bedrooms, a bathroom and a loft/study that opens to the kitchen area below. Another area to gather or to sit quietly and read – could also be a nice office space if you want to keep your eye on things below! Be sure to read more about this plan and check out the side view!
