Tis the season for lights and garland, wreaths and Christmas trees both live and faux. I love walking the neighborhood and seeing the wonderful decorations. So many lights – lots of work, no doubt, but wow, a part of me wishes we always had lights up. Happy and hopeful!
We bought a wreath for the front door. Every time we open the door the WHOOSH of Christmas tree smell permeates the room. It’s wonderful and looks so festive. This was inside (obviously), looking out on a rare cold day here in Charleston. The windows were all fogged up and the outline of the wreath was so prominent. I had to grab a photo of it. We have lights up in other areas of the house. A cute little faux tree with lights in the sunroom which is festive. Lights add so much, don’t they?
I love this festive time of year. Especially when we have colder weather. I grew up in Michigan, where we had seasons, and snow and many colorful leaves. I’ve now been here longer than I lived there – my gosh time flies.
✍️ Until next time…
