Like a Jamie Wyeth painting – Monhegan, ME

Seagulls | Monhegan, Maine

To those of you who haven’t been to Monhegan Island (Maine) – Wow. It’s a tiny island, for those who love the outdoors, love to hike and see beautiful things, eat wonderful food and visit with some of the nicest people. The hikes can be fairly easy or tough depending on which trails you choose (buy the trail map!) – the water is gorgeous and so different from the wharf side to the rocky side.

Cathedral Woods can destress the most stressed individual with its quiet surroundings and as you get closer to the ocean the sound of the surf pounding. The woods are clean and wonderful to walk through. There are so many wonderful locations – Google it – read about it! If you love art, then THIS is your place! Artists everywhere. Everyone is painting, it’s the coolest thing to walk around and see.

Someone threw their leftover lobster in the ocean and the seagulls went crazy – it looked just like a Jamie Wyeth painting! Happy I took this photo!

✍️ Until next time…
