Rockport is a quintessential, 4th of July, all-American, town in Maine. It’s American as apple pie (at least to me, a visitor). Just look at this idyllic setting. What’s not to adore? Of course, this photo was taken (many years ago) during the nicest time of year (September). Not too many people, which is nice – and perfect weather (thankful).

I was scrolling through my oh-so-many-photos that I need to clean out one day (how many times have I said that?) and came upon this photo. Utter perfection – it makes me wish I was there right now, as our dew point is nearing 80. Cold cucumber soup is going to be on the menu this week – whip it up in the Vitamix in the AM and serve dinner, nice and chilled in the PM. #perfect!
