Salisbury Court House Plan by Our Town Plans

Porches. This plan has gorgeous windows – it also has wonderful porches. The type of porch that isn’t just for looks, it’s for living – extended living really. It brings the outdoors in and during nice weather becomes a favorite place to spend time, visit with friends, read a good book, chat on the phone, etc. I love how the front porch wraps around to the breakfast area with French doors!

This is the Salisbury Court house plan (SL-1884) by Our Town Plans (for Southern Living) – this plan is 2,488 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. What a magnificent plan! I’ve featured many (many!) plans by Our Town Plans and cannot believe I have not featured THIS plan – it’s fabulous… I love the exterior, it’s full of charm. The interior is equally as lovely.

I love the flow of this plan. You walk in from the front porch into the keeping room. From there it is open to the kitchen area, and the kitchen is open to the breakfast area, which opens onto the side (wrapped) porch. The breakfast room has two sets of French doors, one onto the side porch I just mentioned and the other to the back porch. The master suite is on the opposite side of the house, and is very generous in size. It also has a nice walk in closet, two vanities, soaking tub and water closet. From the garage you can enter via the back door into a nice laundry room/mud room with more storage space (who doesn’t need more storage space?)

The upstairs is full of living with three bedrooms – one with an on suite, and the other two with their own sink/closet area and a shared toilet/bath/shower area. It’s nice to have a study area to be used as a study/small living area for those who want to remain upstairs or in their own space.
