Tis the season! Oh, yes, the holiday season is upon us. I have to say, I’m thankful for all the happy lights decorating homes. It seems like there are even more this year. It’s so festive and absolutely gorgeous, especially this time of year when it gets dark so early. (Did you know that’s about to change?) I wish the lights would stay on all year!

That’s right, the shortest day of the year is, Wednesday, December 21st (Winter Solstice). Did you realize that after that date, we gain (on average) 2 minutes and 7 seconds of extra daylight every day (and then it starts to fluctuate). When I read that I thought 2+ minutes a day is a lot!
So, when you start getting those extra 2 minutes/day – do something useful with them. Don’t sit and scroll (well, unless you’re on this website)😉 – get up, get out, take a walk or a swim or a lap around the block.
I know this can be a hectic time of year, especially for those of you with children. A special and memory-filled time, but busy nonetheless.
Enjoy every minute of it. Personally, I’m fighting with myself about making Christmas cookies. Make them? Don’t make them (because we’ll eat them)? But it’s tradition. Except you don’t need all that fat and sugar. But, it’s tradition.
Wonder which thought process is going to win? #haha
Note: we don’t have a black wall (yet, ha ha) – so I swiveled one of our black leather chairs around and took this image which makes it really stand out. I love this little tree.
👩💻 Until next time…
Think we need to make cookies!

The only problem with making the cookies – eating them, ha ha. All of them. 😉
