Charlie, who has lived with us for almost 15 years has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. His personality was larger than life and he will be missed forever. I had to write a post on a blog I started when we first brought Charlie home. He wouldn’t rest unless he was right next to me. He would hop up in a chair, then I would sit and with his back to the chair (sitting up) he would press his feet into my back. There we would sit while he napped. He is the reason I started a blog (Life with Charlie) all those years ago. That blog morphed into artfoodhome.com – I still cherish his beasty ways – he was the best dog ever!
We loved his little Charlie antics, that continued until the very end (oh, how we will cherish the chewed up jigsaw puzzle pieces). He loved us, he especially loved us all being together. It was important to him. He would herd us together. He made us smile and laugh every single day.
So thankful to have him in our lives as long as we did. He had a fast progression downward. I think he held out as long as he could for us.
There is a silent void here right now and it’s miserable, but in time 🤞 things should get better. He’s up in the clouds now visiting all our friends and family. We love you Charlie – keep sending the (MANY!!) signs that you’re with us, just in a different sense. He’ll never be gone from our hearts.
💔❤️🩹❤️ Go give your pets an extra hug – a human too…
❤️🩹 Until next time… Hopefully art posts to resume next week if I can get myself together ;) I miss my assistant 🐾, ha ha…

So sweet what you wrote….love you and thinking you during this very difficult time!

Thank you, Francine. I absolutely believe in Heaven – and know Charlie is having a wonderful time visiting all who have passed before us. There is solace in knowing that. 🙏
