A good saying to live by, right? Make what you can with what you’ve got. I do this all the time when cooking, substituting ingredients I have on hand to skip yet another trip to the store. The other day I made a fabulous fresh peach🍑, goat cheese 🐐, dill 🪴salad 🥗. Three trips to the store (the last one being for the LETTUCE!) – ugh, the frustration. We live nearby so it’s not a big deal, but would have rather spent time prepping and putting it together!
We recently broke down a large flower arrangement into three small vases (one was really small) – each was beautiful (this is one). Instead of trying to fit everything in one vase, I sorted by length and started working from there. The taller roses I put into this vase along with the snapdragons and asparagus fern. I had sunflowers in a smaller vase until they were done. I took the medium length flowers and put them in a small vase, a few white roses, baby white carnations & greenery. I took all the short storms and put them in a small jar and oh! It’s the sweetest. It includes small white roses, white baby carnations, sweet small chrysanthemums in a beautiful green color and a sprig of ligustrum. #magical
It’s fun to play around with what you’ve got to make something completely different. I love cut flowers and enjoy mixing them up. A fresh cut and fresh water each day to keep them going as long as possible. #lovewhatyoudo
💮 Until next time…
Bob and I just talking about this. Thinking of those who have rented for decades. They are now in serious trouble due to prices.

Heather, my post was actually about taking one flower arrangement and divvying them up into three smaller vases, each with their own delightful characteristics. But yes, I agree – rent is out of control!
