Janette Jones. A wonderful artist from California. I featured Janette back in 2017, a wonderful oil painting with geraniums – beautiful! I love the happiness of this painting, fabulous colors, beautifully painted flowers, so you know what they are without every single detail.

I have a penchant for watercolor, especially when executed as airily as Janette’s. I think leaving bits of white is amazing – it lightens it up, gives it space to breathe and come alive. I think this is an incredibly happy painting – just beautiful. I love the color of the background, it’s such a happy color especially as a backdrop to the daisies! Striking!
