There is something so special about the ability for a plan to fit in its surroundings and blend harmoniously. This plan is a striking example! I live in an older neighborhood, and we are working with the city to maintain as much character as is possible while still making this a friendly place to live. I have nothing against modern plans, in fact I love them, but for infill in a neighborhood with older architecture I think it’s so important to blend (not look exactly the same, there is a difference). It’s nice when you can find a house plan that check that important box…

This is the Griffin House Plan (17309) by Allison Ramsey Architects. This plan is 2,291 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is a lot of flexibility in this plan which I love! (Like the option to add the upstairs bonus room which adds an additional bathroom, storage space, closets and 712 square feet). Let’s get to it…

The Griffin House Plan by Allison Ramsey Architects

This plan has a lot of living, divided into the left side of house, center of house and right side of the house. When you enter this plan, you enter into the great room in the center of the house with a great view to the screened porch in the back.

On the right hand side you have the bedrooms. Master suite in the back, and a bedroom with private bath in the front, each has a walk in closet.

On the left hand side of the house you have another bedroom and a shared bathroom. When you walk around to the kitchen and walk towards the front of the house you’ll see a utility room and a pantry (LOVE a pantry!) On the other side of the kitchen is the dining room and finally the screened porch – which is a dream on nice days/nights!! You can keep the doors open and have fresh air flowing in the house.

The optional upstairs is a bonus room with a bathroom, storage and closets – just think of the possibilities!

When I dream about these spaces and try to think of how they could be used differently than shown, (I love to change rooms around – not the furniture within a room, but entire rooms – one day a dining room, next day a study) – it could be fun to have a library/study/office in place of one of the bedrooms. If needed, it can easily be switched back. The optional bonus room could be a studio, kids space for studying/toys, etc. a great work space. The possibilities… endless! (See THIS PLAN link below to see the plan for the optional upstairs)!

Are you thinking oh, this plan is so close to the perfect house for me, but… Think no more! Allison Ramsey’s team of great architects can make your dream a reality.
