This photo was taken on Murray Blvd last week, overlooking the Ashley River in Charleston, SC. After days of being indoors this bright, sunny and warm day was fabulous. With temps hovering near 60℉ the shining sun sure felt good. We decided to take a walk on “The Battery” and it was so pleasant. Many people out walking, jogging, fishing. Quite a delight to feel the warm sun on your face.
THIS is our winter, the winter we’re used to. So, when the city closes down because of solid sheets of ice on everything – good for them. Charleston is a warmer climate, and snow/ice is not the norm. Occasionally (last time was 8 years ago), we’ll see snow. It’s rare. We don’t have snow shovels and believe me, we’re good with it, ha ha. It was nice to look outside and see white, although it really didn’t seem right. I’m looking now at the remaining snow/ice that hasn’t seen sun, it may take a little longer for it to melt, but looks like that will happen in the next day or two.
It’s February 1st, y’all! January has blown past us at the speed of light, wasn’t it just Christmas? Have a great weekend…
☀️ Until next time…
