I have driven by McLeod Plantation many, many times, but have yet to visit. I’ve heard wonderful things about it. So really want to make the effort one day soon. Charleston County Parks has a great website that gives all the details, prices of admission, times and even video. So be sure to add this to your list of things to do one day in Charleston, SC!
This photo was taken (as a passenger) at the red light on Folly waiting for the bridge to close. The grand old live oak trees are mesmerizing. I read there is one that is over 600 years old. Can you imagine?
Note, if you have a Gold Pass, you can gain free entry for 4 people to McLeod Plantation – you can also “enjoy unlimited admission into many of your county parks” (every one I can think of except the Folly Beach Pier because of limited parking). We had a Gold Pass years ago, need to do it again! Happy weekend!
👩💻 Until next time…
