There are two (highly coveted) workshops coming soon with artist James Richards. Just watching Jim paint, you will feel so inspired. Even if you don’t paint, you’ll want to. His technique is mesmerizing. On top of being uber talented, he’s a super nice guy to boot, so you’ll have a good time. #nostressworkshop

His workshops (all levels welcome) are all about capturing light. Those of you who know Jim or his work can attest to the fact that he captures light with such beauty and grace. Opportunities don’t come along often – his workshops tend to fill up rather quickly. James Richards is a self-taught Impressionist painter who specializes in oils. Driven by a passionate connection with nature and a deep sense of obligation to relay his vision in the most truthful manner possible, he began painting in his youth. James has spent years studying the nuances of paint and developing a keen sense of understanding and control over the medium. He strives to paint the essence of his subjects by breaking their appearance down to pleasing shapes revealed by the light, and by painting those essential shapes without overworking unnecessary details.
