Okay. Extreme heat is insane. But extreme heat mixed with high humidity (and a crazy high dew point) is dangerous. Drink lots of water. Stay in the shade if you have to be outside, and don’t overdo it! Personally, I’m taking myself back to a cooler time in the mountains (even though I am in Charleston) if only via a photo, it will help a little.
I remember our first trip to The Swag back in 2022. It was hot in Charleston, but as we climbed to 5,000′ elevation the temp kept dropping. I thought I was in heaven. Seriously. Jaw dropping beauty, quiet that is so loud to me, clarity, freshness, just everything all together = heaven.
Do what you can to stay cool. Run through a sprinkler (remember those days?) How about a kiddie pool and sit in the shade with your feet in ice water if you need to cool down (we had a kiddie pool for our dog, he loved it). A long stretch of heat is exhausting. I’m going to try to plan a menu to not have to go out but once to pickup ingredients. #iwishitwassnow
Stay cool, y’all!
👩💻 Until next time…

You’re right, more water and avoid too much sun exposure. Stunning sunset though, wait, is that a sunset or a sunrise? Nonetheless, it’s perfect!

This is a sunrise – absolute perfection every single morning. I don’t really see the sunset from this location, but wake early and appreciate each sunrise!
