When the sunlight hits a special spot I run for my phone (camera) – sometimes I make it, sometimes I don’t – the light is fleeting, as in here one second, gone the next. I took photos of sunlight on the orchid on our coffee table, stunning, but the overhead shot (which I always love) won out.
Pretty as a picture! Well, y’all, it’s the end of August [insert happy dance emoji here] one day closer to fall, woohoo!
What’s your favorite season? I like them all, but I LOVE fall! Winter, I’m super happy with, so it’s a favorite. Spring, the scents are delightful and is so beautiful with all the blooms, temps aren’t bad until end of April/May – it’s the never ending pollen that gets so many of us. Summer – I love the freaky cooler, low humidity days. I love the clouds, rain and a bit of sun, but too much sun – to me, too much sun is as bad as too many clouds. I love weather, I just don’t love weather that is destructive (hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.)… What about you?
Thank you to a sweet neighbor for the beautiful orchid. Also pictured is a heart and cross by artist Barbara Biel, Painting Maine, book by Connie Hayes, vases from The Swag in NC, An Affair With A House, book by author and designer, Bunny Williams, The Joy of Forest Bathing by Melanie Chokes-Bradley.
🌧️ Another rainy weekend in August (woohoo!) – Until next time…
