Skimming through my photos and I ran across this beauty – the epitome of fall. And, WHO doesn’t love fall? It’s my absolute favorite season because it means I’ve gotten through a very hot, humid summer. Although summer was very warm, we had a slight cooling after July. The weather wasn’t cool, it was still humid but not quite as hot (or at least to me), what a joy! #rejoiceinthelittlethings
I took this photo a year ago – this plant drew butterflies like a magnet, it was incredible to watch. I think it would be a pretty addition to the yard for sure!
I used a reverse image search on Google and it shows this plant is Celosia argentea, “plant in full sun with well-draining soil”. I’m a bit limited with sunny areas, but will keep my eye out for a good spot! Read more about the details (i.e. it is drought tolerant but needs well drained soil otherwise is subject to root rot, it’s low maintenance once established, etc.) – READ MORE HERE!
Bonus: in addition to butterflies, this plant attracts bees, birds and hummingbirds!
Happy Monday!
