Wee Morning Hours – St. Clair River in Michigan!

My husband and I headed to Michigan. It was a great visit, cool temps (LOVE) and stunning skies. I woke at the crack of dawn and could see the orangey pink reflection in the window – I knew it was going to be stunning. I ran outside and snapped a few photos. Wow…

This photo was taken on the St. Clair River in Algonac, MI – it was so wonderful growing up on the river – always something to see. Boats, boat races, jet skis, fisherman, lots and lots of fisherman… Ferries that take you to Canada, to Russell Island and to Harsen’s Island. I remember hopping on the ferry to Canada as a kid and riding my bike around and heading back. All summer long all we did is walk down the street, jump in the water and float/swim down to our house (strong current), then get out and repeat. Summer when there was a lot of boats we would ride the waves. Good times.

Lots of kids all around us when we moved here, it was the best time ever. Oh, how I love the colors in this sky, stunning!
