Lynne Hamontree. A local artist (Charleston, SC area) with an eye for color – Isn’t this painting fabulous? The colors are stunning and I love the expressive way that Lynne paints. It’s lively and different – The shapes of the flowers, the cool vase and the wonderful strokes make this painting really stand out! Continue reading “Featured Artist: Lynne Hamontree!”→
Poppy Balser. An artist that braves the harsh Canadian winters to paint what she loves – to the point of adding vodka to her painting water to keep it from freezing. Now THAT is an artist who loves to paint! Continue reading “Featured Artist: Poppy Balser!”→
Jeff Markowsky, a plein air artist living in Savannah, GA. This painting… Wow, right? Look at all the layers of color in the sky. I am drawn to these bright colors.

Sometimes You Have To Let Go To Find Your Truth by Lesley Grainger 48×48″ Mixed Media
Lesley Grainger – a fabulous abstract artist, originally from England, now living in California. Lesley’s paintings have such personality. She also has some wonderful paintings of faces, that are colorful and full of life! I love Lesley’s color palette and the movement in her paintings is amazing!
What grabbed me about this particular painting are the circles, for some reason they stand out to me and I love them. Also, that stunning lighter bright green is fabulous as are all the pinks and oranges. Lesley has so many layers to her paintings, and that makes her paintings stand out. Sometimes you have to let it go… is one you can look at for a long time and always see something new. The little pops of color peeking through are amazing, and her signature is fabulous and is like art (signatures are big to me). This 48″ x 48″ painting will really make a room come alive – I love the square format.
Tyler Swain. I was scrolling through Instagram, looking for new artists when I saw this painting! The colors, and the juxtaposition of the abstract background and realistic magnolia is so interesting to me. Interesting and beautiful! I swear that magnolia blossom is so real I can smell it’s fragrance from where I sit! Continue reading “Featured Artist: Tyler Swain!”→
Jean Marie Bucich. I love how she paints florals in a large format – talk about WOW! Humoresque (above) has a nice soft palette which works so perfectly with today’s neutral color scheme. Soft and pretty. She also has brilliantly colored flowers (stunning!) with dark backgrounds which is another of my favorites. Not easy to choose! Mendocino No. 4 by Chris Long 12×12″ Acrylic and Gouache on Wood Panel
Chris Long. Pretty amazing, right? Just look at the texture in the sky. Some of his paintings have such fabulous texture (see Oregon Coast, another fabulous example). The colors in this painting just grabbed me – The sky exudes such radiant heat and the cool horizon color is just fabulous against that brilliant sky! I featured Chris a little over a year ago – thought it was time for a re-feature! Continue reading “Featured Artist: Chris Long!”→
Lucy Williams. Interior designer and artist. I love her design, it’s refreshing, clean and uncluttered. Her paintings make her spaces pop. I absolutely adore the movement and Lucy’s color palette. Her paintings are interesting and they add a nice HELLO! to their surroundings.
Dennis Doyle. I love how loose his paintings are – clearly done in the moment and they capture the feeling of what he’s painting so beautifully. Love the clouds and the overall feel in this one: the dark tree line, the dramatic clouds coupled with the brilliant sky and the light in the mid horizon. So many wonderful paintings and such a cool story. Dennis is not afraid of hard work, that’s for sure! Continue reading “Featured Artist: Dennis Doyle!”→
Kimberly Goldstein. I love her work. It’s happy and fresh. It’s got oomph! Most paintings are mixed media which tends to perk up an abstract and give it added dimensions. I think “Madrid” is a sharp painting – modern, in a modern (square) format. Fabulous!
Anne Ireland. Such an amazing artist. Her work is so different and outstanding – Anne clearly has a passion from deep within to create these wonderful paintings.
I love how she can take a scene and simplify it in the most magnificent way. With added colors that are just gorgeous, she makes her paintings come to life! The water in this painting above – Wow! Oh, how I love those trees! It’s all the little WOW’s that make this painting, and truly, all of her paintings – so fabulous! I am a fan!
Lavender Dahlia by Karen Kluglein 10 x 8″ Watercolor
Karen Kluglein. Beautiful botanical paintings – looking through all of her paintings makes me want to run out and buy some flowers (or better yet, plant some of my own)! Wonderful paintings of flowers, orchids, trees, edibles and bulbs. I found the dahlia painting featured on the “Specials” page. I have no doubt that Karen can paint anything, what talent! …and her story – I love it, very interesting! Don’t miss it! Continue reading “Featured Artist: Karen Kluglein!”→
Grace DeVito. Her still life paintings… Wow! She captures them so beautifully (a beautiful lobster? yes!) – The lobster is stunning, but the way she placed the corn which compliments it so beautifully makes it artful. The red potatoes… wow! Gorgeous paintings! Continue reading “Featured Artist: Grace DeVito!”→
