Fred and I were on our way home the other night and as we passed Northbridge Park in Charleston, we saw the most amazing sunset. The park has recently been created and WOW is it ever nice. We walked out on the dock to get this shot. This sunset was spectacular. We weren’t the only ones that pulled over! I swear I could take photos of beautiful sunrises and sunsets forever!

I love the homes on Church Street in Charleston, SC. I cannot seem to make it from my car to the gallery without snapping a photo! There is always something so beautiful that just stands out to me. These window boxes are stunning (even more so in person!), white hydrangeas, the light, the bicycle in front with the yellow basket… I mean HOW could anyone possibly walk by without snapping a photo? Charleston is one beautiful city! I need to get out with my real (non iPhone) camera and take some photos!

There is this cool specialty cheese shop (and more!) called Goat. Sheep. Cow. in Charleston, and I pass it on my way in to work. When I walked by the other day the light was just right. Such pretty classy decor! Check out their website!
Hey, they’re great for more than just holidays, stop in and check out all they’ve got! If you’re lucky enough to get one of their sandwiches during the day (limited quality), you will be so happy! Exquisite!

I thought this was a cool photo… taken from a building looking out onto the walkway at Shem Creek. I loved the dark overhang – a great view from this spot for sure!

The College of Charleston is one impressive place. Gorgeous building nestled amongst gorgeous old live oak trees. The city alone is full of history, but part of that history is the college. The college was founded in 1770 which is pretty amazing! Just look at the glass in these windows. These are large, impressive windows. The buildings are beautiful. The layout is perfect and every student that I spoke to was amazing!

Dark side of the bridge that is… I took this photo a few weeks ago on my way over the Ravenel Bridge (headed towards Mount Pleasant)… look at these skies. Crazy? I love weather and clouds, so I was having a big time snapping away! (I wasn’t driving!) Had to share!

Well, I’m not exactly sure of the speed, but we headed over the Cosgrove Bridge on the way to Mount Pleasant… I grabbed my phone, rolled down my window and *snap *snap *snap… pretty incredible that the photo turned out this good while I was moving!

Charleston, SC – too cool. I love the old wonderful homes in the heart of the city. I was walking down the street the other day, and passed this happy green bench… I had to back up, set my bags down and snap a photo… I love the pretty flowers against that green – so inviting!

Fred (my husband) and I went out to lunch on my birthday, we headed to S.N.O.B. (gotta love that acronym) and had an amazing lunch. This is the view from the front of the restaurant (while we were waiting for our table, I thought I would be productive)!
Gotta love Charleston for so many reasons… the cool old buildings, unique shops, fabulous art galleries, the food, the people, the climate (well, most of the time)! If you haven’t been, I highly encourage you to visit!

I took this photo a few weeks ago on Broad Street in Charleston, SC… If you look towards St. Michael’s the sky was tumultuous with cool dark clouds, rain was definitely on the way… but, if you looked the opposite direction, clear skies and nothing but sun. No chance of rain. Crazy!

Looks like a painting doesn’t it? This is the view from the James Island Connector… Fred was driving and I rolled down my window and snapped a shot with my phone. Not too bad! The clouds were wicked cool!

Sometimes the best views can be had from the most unlikely places. Especially in Charleston, which is full of quaint streets, back entrances and out of the way spaces… one being a parking space with a very cool view!

Doesn’t this look like a painting? I love how some artists paint in the power lines, it really adds character. Same with street lights, especially in nocturnes, where they’re essential… This was a magical sunset on our way home from downtown… nice huh?

Shem Creek Park in Mount Pleasant, SC is a great place to visit, walk around, take photos, and if you’re an artist… to paint! Amazing views from many locations. Close proximity to restrooms and restaurants! Then you can grab some fresh seafood to take home with you. What could be better?
