We had pavers that have been down for years. They’re beautiful, but… they’re close to a live oak tree… the roots are getting big and uprooting the pavers. It’s become a challenge to walk across them. I Googled to be sure it was OK to cut the roots. Whoa, am I ever glad I did! No, it’s not ok to cut the roots… it can weaken the tree and if you have a big wind it can topple the tree. AHHHH! So, Fred has begun the process of digging up the pavers and MOVING THEM. The man has energy like I’ve never seen.
Here it is in progress… will post another once it’s completed! The yard is low right here and tends to flood during big rains, so we’re going to build it up a wee bit. We will have a happy tree and a beautiful walkway soon! Stay tuned!

He is the hardest working man I’ve ever seen… Never gets tired! I’m pooped just watching him… Ha ha… He finished it the other day, I put out Pinestraw which freshened up the yard… Yesterday he worked to landscape around the pavers and I painted our wrought iron gate… That was fun, whew, but looks great! More work in the yard today, but it’ll be nice out and it’s so rewarding! Have a great day today!!

Fred is amazing… Try, but cannot keep up! Today we worked in the yard, he came in a put the chicken in the oven, bless his heart… When it was time for the chicken to be done, I came in and made some quinoa with tomatoes, red onions, feta in a vinaigrette! We’re sitting down now, hope we can get up, ha ha

Hey Doug, we just got in from working this weekend in the yard and it’s really coming along! I’m thrilled with the great work Fred did, nice curves to the path, very nice… Whew… Am whooped, he’s hard to try to keep up with. (Emphasis on the word “try”, ha ha…) ;)
