Sanctuary!

Sanctuary!

This time of year in Charleston, SC is heavenly. Truly. Everything is beautiful and blooming. The scents that are wafting from each blooming plant/shrub/tree smells miraculous. I am not exaggerating. On the less humid days when we have windows open, it’s almost as if we have a strong scented candle and it’s time to move it to another room. But no candle. Just the flowering everything outside!

The lagustrums against the back fence (and side fences), the Confederate Jasmine on the garage, the Tea Olive next to the back door. Good grief, it’s almost too much, ha ha. They last quite a while, thankfully. Then *poof* they are but a memory to return in another year. While the blooms fade, our neighbor’s fabulous tree remains – it’s a beauty!
