Dancing Oaks – Charleston, SC

I love this one area of Charleston, where the oak tree limbs reach into the water as if trying to cool off from this heat (yes, it’s still warm here). On the right side of this image you can see the Spanish moss hanging from the tree. This is magnificent!

These trees are popular in this area of Charleston – you may have heard of the very large one, the Angel Oak. Click on that link to read more – you’ll see a photo of it, this tree is huge! Some think it’s about 1,500 years old, others estimate 400-500. Whatever the age it will make your jaw drop!
