The 4th of July is often a gathering of people, enjoying a BBQ, fireworks and time together. This year things are so different. We have a pandemic to think about… so if you are going to venture to visit others, be smart and #wearamask and keep yourself distanced from others. We need to get on the other side of this pandemic and not put more lives in danger.

This may not be popular, but I’m happy about no fireworks (although I realize it will probably be worse with everyone shooting them off themselves which is even more dangerous). I always think about the dogs. The dogs are terrified, and July 4th is the biggest day that people lose their pets. They get scared and bolt. My other concern is for veterans, people with PTSD for various reasons, school shootings, etc. Fireworks must be so awful. I used to like them as a kid but quickly grew out it.

Have fun, if you are staying home like us, Zoom, Skyp, FaceTime or call some friends. You can sit together while apart 🙂 #winwin for saying #buhbye to this damn virus. As I said before #imissmypeople – we would often visit over the 4th.

What are you cooking up for this day? I’m writing this a little ahead, so I’m not sure what our plans our. Maybe something on the grill and a few veggie salad sides hopefully!
