It was another steamy day in Charleston – but our late afternoon (evening) walk was still quite pretty. You can almost see the humidity in the air. This is an older street lined with large live oak trees and they’re stunning ALWAYS, but the bright pop of the crape myrtle blooms against the backdrop of oak trees certainly was beautiful! I love the light coming through the leaves. #wow I am oh so thankful for the way yesterday ended…
I know I say this time and time again (#brokenrecord) but take a second when you notice something that catches your eye to register it. Be grateful for the people in your life, take in the beauty and appreciate everything. Life can be so beautiful but can also turn on a dime.
I mention this because my husband has been on maximum telework due to COVID-19 (working from home) for over a year and a half (like many of you). He had to go into the office to take care of something that needed to be done on site. A few hours after he returned (safely) home, messages started to pop up on his work computer about an active situation on base. They mentioned the area the person was in and it is exactly where he just was. #goosebumps I thank God every day, and pray hard for my family and friends, but knowing how that day could have ended is unfathomable to me. #iamthankful that no one was hurt and that the person was apprehended. #takethetime
✍️ Until next time…
