Charm, right? The first thing I thought of when I saw the scallop shingles in the gable area of this home. It reminds me of my parents Victorian home with the gingerbread trim. It’s an oldie, with oodles of charm. This is the best of both worlds. New construction and old world charm!
This is the 39 Dover Trail house plan by Our Town Plans. This plan is 1,757 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms. Note the stunning two story porch. There is so much outdoor space, 620 square feet of porches, to bring the outside in! Nice, deep porches make very usable space. It’s not just a porch to check off the block, it’s a porch that can be utilized in so many ways!
The main floor of this plan is an open living, kitchen and keeping room with a washer/dryer space tucked in the back along with a half bath. The keeping room is so perfect for people to lounge (this would be my main area!), talk to you while you cook, etc. I love that the screen porch doors open to the keeping room, so perfect for nice days.
The upstairs has 3 bedrooms each with their own bathrooms, how nice is that? If you’re liking this plan but see something you wish could be different (for me, unless I had people living at home, I would maybe remove the middle upstairs bathroom and make the front bathroom and Jack & Jill (open to both rooms) bathroom, and use the extra space somehow (storage/etc.) Just a quick thought… Our Town Plans can make that happen. Read about how the process works.

I don’t see a closet in the master bedroom. Can’t be a bedroom without a closet. Perhaps I am overlooking it.

How can there be a master bedroom with no closet? A bit weird it seems.
