Hummingbirds are pretty magical little creatures. We have been to the mountains in May and there were no hummingbirds – which, after seeing them so plentiful one August, you really miss their never-ending entertainment! This time we visited in June and tada, there they were. This is Waynesville, NC – which is stunningly beautiful.
I was taking a photo of the mountains in the distance and as I took it this little hummingbird popped in view. #photobombedbyahummingbird This image was taken at 5,000 elevation which is perfection. While Charleston was hot and humid, the air was crisp and cool with fires in the morning and evening. I even bought an insulated jacket. How perfect is that? It’s my dream weather. It was unseasonably cool we were told, and the weather warmed up as soon as we left. #thankfulforacoolspell
Every time we go to the mountains I take so many photos. I look forward to sharing with you in the coming months. ☀️It’s hard believe it’s already July. The days are flying by, like I say, Christmas will be tomorrow, ha ha. Slow down and enjoy each day.
🌄 Until next time…
Stunning photograph.

Absolutely love hummingbirds. I have a Pagoda plant blooming outside my kitchen window and they are darting among the many little red flowers. If not for the glass I could touch them. Your photo is just beautiful!

Thank you, Susan. You are so fortunate to have the hummingbirds right outside your window! They’re a sight to behold. They make everyone smile, and boy are they zippy! Thank you for the comment!
