Can you imagine life as a bird in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park? The freedom to fly hither and yon. Life as a bird comes with options. You glide with the wind. Or you take a break at the bird feeder and hang out with your friends. Or, if you preferred, you just take a break and look out over the beautiful vistas. #lifeisgood
On a recent trip to Waynesville, NC, we saw many beautiful birds and hummingbirds. The Ruby-throated hummingbirds, specifically. They work so hard. It’s unbelievable that they fly across the Gulf of Mexico to get to this spot in NC. Then they fly as far as Canada. They’re so small, so those little wings must flap an awful lot to get where they’re going. They are a treasure.
The mountains are a glorious place to reset, whew, you don’t realize how much you need a short vacation sometimes. Happy month of May!
🐦⬛ Until next time…
