My husband said this painting reminds him of our time at the Island Inn during dinner while eating by himself while I was outside taking photos of the most stunning sunsets you can ever imagine. The beauty of their sunsets defy logic. Who could resist? I was only gone a minute or two (I wasn’t the only one!) ok, maybe 3-4 max.

Janette Jones. A wonderful artist from California. I featured Janette back in 2017, a wonderful oil painting with geraniums – beautiful! I love the happiness of this painting, fabulous colors, beautifully painted flowers, so you know what they are without every single detail.

James Richards. An accomplished artist from Georgia, there is literally nothing this man can’t paint. His ability to capture the very soul of his subject is astounding. No wonder he is such a sought after instructor (workshop information below) – James’s paintings sell like hot cakes – and they reside all over the world and in some of the most distinguished of places.

Ken DeWaard – amazing artist and one of the nicest guys ever. Ken has a one person show coming up Friday, July 26 (night of opening reception) – so mark your calendars if you’re going to be in the Tenants Harbor, Maine area – it’ll be worth the stop! James Richards. One of the best artists I know. Not “just” an award winning artist but a person who cares, who makes it his mission to share his passion for painting with others. I met James many years ago during an art walk. He was set up to do a demo and it was awe-inspiring. He explained what he was doing and why, he worked quickly, efficiently – and everyone was blown away with the result. I swear, he has this “understanding” with paint – he steps up to the easel and is like a paint whisperer. Quickly, calmly laying down brush strokes until a masterpiece has been created. And… he knows when to stop. Every time.
