Something happened and we missed winter here in Charleston, SC. – crazy weather this year. But… so nice to have moderate temperatures – great for getting out for a walk! I snapped this near White Point Gardens.
Catch you back here tomorrow!
First of all… beautiful shadows, ha ha… they always catch my eye!
Fred and I were walking around downtown and we walked by this church, how interesting is this? It was established in 1682 in Kittery, Maine and moved to this site in Charleston, SC in 1699! (The congregation immigrated Charleston)!
Interested in the history of this church (it IS interesting!)?? Click HERE.

“Sunday Paper” – a beautiful gate and, oh!, the landscaping!
It’s such fun to walk and be able to snap a photo or two (or 100) – no matter where you are, there are so many beautiful sites. I always regret not taking my phone, that’s when I see the most magical things, like a turtle the size of a quarter trying to walk across the Greenway (where people and bikes are moving rapidly) – luckily Fred saw it and helped the little guy across. Also saw a hawk dive into the ditch and come up with a critter 😳 – yes, there are some things I wish I did not see… Ugh!

The other day we headed downtown to walk, the weather was beautiful and we decided to cover some different territory! Along the way I snapped a few (😉) photos. This gate is magnificent isn’t it? Look at all the work that went into it. Truly a piece of art! It’s not easy to see from this photo, but the shadows are amazing, as I’m sure you can imagine!
Enjoy your Sunday!!

Mistletoe Portrait
It’s interesting the way that Mistletoe grows in trees. Usually high up and growing in a clump. Fred jumped up and pulled some out of a tree when we had stopped for lunch one day. Too sweet!
I hope this Saturday brings you smiles… in turn pass along a smile to someone you don’t know. It can make their day!

My husband and I were headed out on a walk and ran across this beautiful scene. Look at the reflections of the bird on that beautiful blue water AND the wonderful reflections of the trees in the water. Wow!
We are so fortunate to live in an area where there is such beauty. Of course, beauty can be found anywhere, you just have to keep your eyes open for it!
Have a great Saturday and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow!

Another Bowens Island photo (Charleston, SC). This is out on their dock, near the time of sunset (as if I needed to explain that beautiful golden light)…
Each time we go I spend as much time taking photos (if the light is right) as I do eating, ha ha… It’s just such a beautiful location! Check it out if you haven’t been!

Ashley Harbor – Charleston, SC
I snapped this photo with my phone while (Fred was) driving over the Ashley River Bridge – it was an interesting sky with a lot of yellow. Looks serene… almost every time we drive over the bridge I am scrambling for my phone… always scenic!
Happy Sunday!

Wolf Moon – Photo taken January 12, 2017
The Wolf Moon is the name given to the full moon in January, when the wolves would howl at the full moon. Read some cool facts and see some beautiful photos of a Wolf Moon from Almanac.com!
Did you realize the full moons have names each month? Pretty cool, eh?

A fresh post for Saturday!
This chair looks rather angelic in the sunshine, ha ha… Here is a look at what’s to come… Benjamin Moore in a Navy color (we think we know which one, but haven’t decided absolutely). It’s currently a Benjamin Moore match to an old Ralph Lauren color KUBA (in the Safari collection). We’ve loved this color, but now… need it to be gone! I’m dying for some navy walls… How sharp will that be?? Bits of navy in the rug, all the paintings have blue (nine paintings in this small room) – I can’t wait! I love the white against the navy. Is it ever sharp! Right now the hot color is SHADOW by Benjamin Moore, but it’s a little too purple for my taste, although I’ve seen it used on doors, etc. and it’s so striking!
Will send an image of the final result once we get to that point!
For those of you who subscribe to this blog, you may think that today’s post looked familiar. It did to me too… well, that’s because I posted it six short days ago. Six. Sigh… I think I was rearranging posts and this image was used twice. Nice… ugh! Please forgive.

You may have to click to see this image larger. This photo was taken from the road that leads you to Bowens Island Restaurant in Charleston, SC (near Folly Beach). Views?! Oh, yeah! Sunset at Bowens Island is always a treat. They are known for their seafood, but the view, whoa! Don’t miss it if you are in the Charleston area!

PS… if this looks familiar it mistakenly posted in November along with another post about the need to catch up and focus, ha ha… ugh! You aren’t imaging things, if this seems familiar, you’re right, it is!
Solved! That’s right! This photo was taken at Karen Hagen Fine Art – click the link to see more of the gallery and see the artists represented!
To take a quick break from “Guess the artist” – A cool photo. I couldn’t pass it by, it caught my attention and I stood in this gallery and snapped photos, ha ha… are you familiar with Charleston, SC and the many galleries that we have here? Do YOU know which gallery this chandelier is in?
I love a challenge… Ha ha…
