I love this painting in so many ways. Charlie, looks exactly like he used to when he would come into the sunroom and jump up on one of the teak chairs where he would bask in the sun and ultimately take a nap. Oh, the life of Charlie – it was good.

Saying Goodbye Is Never Easy…

C h a r l i e 2 0 0 9 – 2 0 2 4
Charlie, who has lived with us for almost 15 years has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. His personality was larger than life and he will be missed forever. He would hop up in a chair, then I would sit and with his back to the chair (sitting up) he would press his feet into my back. There we would sit while he napped. He is the reason I started a blog (Life with Charlie) all those years ago. That blog morphed into artfoodhome.com – I still cherish his beasty ways – he was the best dog ever!

The birthday boy, Charlie!
H A P P Y 3 R D B I R T H D A Y C H A R L I E !
It’s Charlie’s 3rd birthday today, boy how time flies! If you would like to be entertained by a funny blog accounting for the first year of LIFE WITH CHARLIE, click the link). Initially I created this blog because the only time Charlie would sleep is when I was sitting in my desk chair at the computer. He would curl up behind me and fall into a deep peaceful (for me) sleep… so I created a blog to vent entertain myself, then Charlie started getting people who wanted to know what was going on each day, it was a hoot… after a year he calmed down and I stopped the blog, but it was a great year!
Preparation for Charlie’s birthday hat photo shoot!
Charlie is going to have (another) good day! He’s been so much fun these past several years, here’s to many many more Charlie! May your birthday candles never blow out : )
Have a great day and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow!
Charlie (Jack Russell Terrier) visits Shem Creek Park in Mount Pleasant, SC
Charlie loves to go for a visit to Shem Creek Park in Mt. Pleasant, SC. It’s a nice long dock/walkway with plenty to see and smell… a great place to go to watch the boats, people fishing or just to enjoy a beautiful sunset. If you haven’t made your way there yet, it’s worth it! Near Shem Creek (Mount Pleasant Seafood, etc.) you can’t miss it!
Catch you back here tomorrow!
