Marshall Point Lighthouse – Port Clyde, Maine

Marshall Point Lighthouse – Port Clyde, Maine

Beautiful, right? Gorgeous sunsets! This is one that I only caught the tail end of – yet still… so much beauty in one area! The islands, the water, the working (and playing) boats. The fabulous Marshall Point Lighthouse with so much history. Does it look familiar? Have you seen the movie Forrest Gump? This lighthouse was in the movie

I’m posting another “photo from the archives” – this was on a past trip to Maine. We rented a wonderful cottage this year, and made frequent walks to the lighthouse. It’s such a spectacular spot. So much to see and do. Many artists painting. I tried one evening but was literally carried away by mosquitoes. Everything was fine one minute and I was swarmed the next. #theywillalwayswin 😉 I high-tailed it outta there!

Have you been to Maine? It’s wonderful! We haven’t been in several years now. Can you tell I miss it? #thatsputtingitmildly I pretty much miss everywhere right now. I can’t wait to get back to Michigan – would love to also visit the Island Inn on Mackinac Island (MI) at some point. It’s been a long time since we’ve been there!

Where are some of your favorite spots to visit??

✍️ Until next time…
