Whiteside Cottage House Plan by Todd Wilson for Southern Living!

Whiteside Cottage House Plan (SL1980) by Todd Wilson for Southern Living!

Sweet, sweet, sweet! I absolutely adore this small house plan/guest suite – whichever use, it’s magnificent! I love the white, and also love the metal roof, so when it rains you have that lovely sound to listen to. The windows are gorgeous, everything about this is perfection! If you’re looking for a small house or a guest suite keep reading!

This is the Whiteside Cottage House Plan (SL1980) by Todd Wilson for Southern Living House Plans. This is the perfect guest suite to add to the Whiteside Farm House plan (previously featured) or to any other home in my opinion. I love the clean design of it. This plan is 430 square feet with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. It’s been designed with such useful space. It could be a small home or a guest suite, both would be fabulous! (Check out the SL website for an interior image).

This plan has 9′ ceilings, which adds to the charm and makes it feel much larger. I love the porch that is so welcoming, but could also be nice screened (with another door for entry) if you really used it and were in a mosquito prone area (is there anywhere that isn’t?) – so much charm!

Quite beautiful, isn’t it?

Love your designs of smaller homes. I recently saw one that I fell in love with. I only wish it had a bedroom and bath. Saw it in southern living. Plan SL- 2068.

    1. I saw that “Garden Escape” plan. Very sweet – so sharp from the exterior. To become a home, I agree a bedroom and bath are needed. Many architects/designers will do custom changes (for a fee), might be worth checking on if you really love it? I see on Southern Living’s website there is a place to submit your list of changes – as well as a phone number if you would like to speak someone. They’re great! Very knowledgeable. I wish you the best – keep me posted!
