This is one gorgeous building. I’ve loved it since I first saw it in 1988. Stunning architecture and so much history! This is One Broad Street – it’s in the heart of the Charleston, SC peninsula. There is so much history in this area, and this building is no exception!
As I mentioned there is so much history that goes along with this building – click HERE to read it! When I first saw it back in 1988, it was a bank, a very fancy bank… then it was empty for a while and finally renovated by a nearby bakery, that made it a great brunch spot. COVID helped to close the doors and another restaurant emerged – a Brasserie – cool looking menu.
This is exquisite architecture. Broad Street has some wonderful buildings, and others that have fallen into disrepair. Thankfully there are people out there who know how to bring back the original WOW. The buildings are transformed!
If you live here, take time on a quiet morning to walk the streets and really look at how exquisite the architecture is. If you don’t live here, if you ever visit Charleston, be sure to check out how gorgeous everything is!
On another note, can you believe it’s already OCTOBER! We are heading into my very favorite season, woohoo!!
✍️ Until next time…
