Adorable Cottage by Architectural Designs

What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you see this house plan? Fairy Tale. That’s what comes to my mind. For a small plan, it’s like something in a movie. So much charm and I absolutely love the lines of the roof – that steep pitch, those windows. Very cool!

This is the Adorable Cottage (43000PF) by Architectural Design. Pretty cool, isn’t it? This plan is 1,183 square feet with 2 bedrooms (master up, and another bedroom downstairs) and 2 bathrooms (again, one up and one down). In addition to the wonderful lines of this house, I love the side porch, it’s unexpected – I love that!

The living area must feel larger with a cathedral ceiling. The kitchen opens into the dining area, which has sight lines to the living area. I like a bit of separation in a home. For being a smaller home this plan has plenty of space for a few people.

Master suite is upstairs with built in cabinets – love that feature. As well as a walk in closet and bathroom. Washer/dryer is also located upstairs. There is a section that is open to the living area. In the winter, let the heat rise, right? Sometimes, smaller plans make more sense – especially for those downsizing. Master up and down gives you flexibility.
