First. Day. Of. Fall! How exciting is this? To me, it’s the best of the best. Fall is my favorite season by far, I love knowing the weather will turn crisper, less humid, I love knowing the leaves change (at least in some places, like where I took this photo). We don’t have a lot of color change here in Charleston. A few trees do change, and that is always exciting to see.

The first day of fall arrives (officially) at 8:44AM this morning. The fall equinox (otherwise known as the autumnal equinox) is “the moment when the Sun crosses the Equator, and those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere will begin to see more darkness than daylight.” Info via The Farmers Almanac.

Get out and enjoy. I’ll skip the pumpkin spice coffee and opt for making baked apples or even homemade applesauce (such a treat and makes the house smell divine!) along with a good cup of coffee. Soup weather soon… cannot wait!
