I took this photo several years ago. Just look at this mesmerizing live oak tree. Its limbs reaching as if to borrow a cup of sugar from a neighboring tree. So much history. It’s astounding if you think about it. What has this tree seen and heard in its lifetime? I love the far-reaching branches, the view, and the sunlight dappling the scene nicely…

This photo was taken at Botany Bay years ago. What a magical place! Have you been? It’s about time for us to take a trip in the next month or so and check it out, it’s been a year or even longer. We like to pack a lunch, pull over, eat our sandwiches in the back of the car with the door open, sitting and dangling our feet out of the back. Like big kids, ha.

It’s always nice to bop down to the beach too and check it out. Leave the shells. This place looks like it’s been here for a long time for a reason. Botany Bay is at Edisto Island, SC. The park allows you to take a self guided tour of nature preserves, beaches and more!
