Fresh, tasty and exploding with flavor. This salad was the perfect combination of silky lettuce leaves (they’re gorgeous and so delicious), the crunch of the peanuts and crispy shallots that adorn the top – ooooh! Truly a delight for the senses. We just recently started going to this restaurant (we like the Mt. Pleasant location for the seating, but takeout is available closer to us). Where is this wonderful restaurant? The food is as tasty as it is beautiful!

This is BON BANH MI, a “Southeast Asian Kitchen” that has defined the word perfection. Matter-of-fact, if you look up PERFECTION in the dictionary, I’m pretty sure it will say BON BANH MI. Their motto (printed on their t-shirts): SIMPLE. BOLD. FRESH. Bravo, job well done! Check out their menu via link above.

Opting for the lighter options (and, well, it’s Friday) – I chose the salad with shrimp + lime vinaigrette (pictured above). I only used a tiny bit of vinaigrette because the flavors from the herbs (oh! to get a bite of mint – heaven!) and all the other fabulous flavors are just WOW.

I’ve also had the bowl with chicken (fabulous) and my husband most recently ordered his bowl with the shrimp. The bowl has rice and an accoutrement of fabulous, very fresh veggies. Heaven in a bowl.
