Stunning Views and Fabulous Food at Bowens Island – Charleston, SC

Not fancy, but delicious. That’s how I would describe Bowens Island, a fabulous restaurant in the Charleston, SC area, very close to Folly Beach (for those of you who are familiar.)

I’ve written about Bowens Island many times. This is one of our favorite restaurants. Not because it’s fancy (it’s NOT), but because the food is consistently good. Not just good, but out of this world! The fried shrimp (we splurge on occasion) is lightly battered and utter perfection!

The views take the restaurant over the top. If you ever visit around sunset BRING YOUR CAMERA! I’m not kidding!

If you’re in Charleston, this is a place you’ve got to add to your list. Do not dress up, go like you are. Anything goes! That spectacular view is on three sides of the restaurant. Seating is inside and out. Keep in mind they’re CLOSED on SUNDAY AND MONDAY!
