A way to eat salmon if you you’re not a fan:

Candied Brussels Sprouts, Potato Croquettes and Wild Caught Dill Salmon (Cooked on a Cedar Plank)

I’ve tried to be a sport in the past. I WANT to like salmon, it’s good for you, yayaya… BUT, it’s strong taste about did me in each time. We would go out to eat and my husband would have me try a bite of his… #itsanogo Then, one day we were talking with a neighbor (thank you CW) who had been to a nearby restaurant. She said she always orders the salmon. I thought, ugh. And then…

We were celebrating Fred’s birthday. I looked at the menu and tried to find something on the healthier side. Salmon was definitely it. Salmon with a dill sauce. I love dill. I like brussels sprouts and I wasn’t sure what a potato croquette was, but it’s got to be good if it’s potato, right?

Very interesting. Of the three foods above, my favorite was THE SALMON. 😳🙌💃 I was doing the happy dance! I FINALLY found salmon that was so tasty, in the best possible way. It was pure perfection. (Kudos to the chef at Angel Oak Restaurant).

I usually roast brussels sprouts with a little olive oil, so these were quite different, but very tasty. Potato croquettes seem to be a little ball of mashed potatoes that are fried. They were delicious as well. The wedge salad, we split, was out of this world! No complaints! If you’re in the area, go check them out!

I would love to know where they buy their salmon, what kind of salmon it is? I would go buy it, but then again, probably not – it’s like steak, we only order it in a restaurant and never make it at home. I don’t think I would chance trying to pull it off – it was too perfect as it was.

👩‍💻 Until next time…
