Ladybird Books, new to the Charleston, SC scene opened late October of this year. We stopped in and checked it out, it’s SO nice – the kind of nice you don’t want to leave. It’s welcoming and it was refreshing to see so many young people (in addition to older people) looking at books and BUYING…

After reading about how the art of reading is on the decline for the younger generation (which I totally can’t wrap my head around) – it was so encouraging to see that in Charleston, this simply isn’t the case. Woohoo! Reading a book sends you on an incredible journey where you can go anywhere in the world (and beyond)! There is literally something for everyone. Not sure where to start? Ask someone in a book store or a library. They’re always full of suggestions, or asks the person standing next to you in the bookstore/library! Social media has many different book groups, one I love is Friends & Fiction – so many people offering suggestions for books. My To-Be-Read (TBR) list on Goodreads.com is growing oh, so long!

Just in case, I have several books on hand, some old, some new – but I’m good for a very long time. I used to buy books, read them, and pass them along. Now, I keep the books I love to reread when I get older and maybe don’t recall the details, ha ha. I still pass along the books that I aren’t 5⭐️ (to me) because we all like something different, and what I don’t like someone else will!
