This entryway is undeniably one of my favorites. The mixture of stucco, wood, copper, wrought iron, marble, and the wonderful shapes and reflections – Wow! This is a beauty every single time I walk by!

Regal. A home with presence, wouldn’t you say? The varying textures, the dark trim, the reflections in those beautiful windows all make this one heck of a house in Charleston, SC.
Those dark crosses on the left hand side of the building on the second and third floors are Earthquake Bolts!

From the photo archives… Palmetto Bluff, (Bluffton, SC) – taken September 2007.
We headed out on a road trip shortly after our last dog passed away – Reggie, he was a sweetie. Needed to get away from the silence and busy our minds with beauty. Let me tell you Palmetto Bluff is the perfect place to do just that!

This creature was just perched on his own little island minding his business when we walked past… I snapped a photo and kept moving.
It’s best to respect the distance between us, ha ha… This was taken in 2007 at Palmetto Bluff. Have you ever been? If you get a chance, it’s a beautiful place to visit – don’t miss it!

Charlie and I headed out for a quick walk a few weeks ago and came upon this in a neighbor’s yard. So inviting, the two chairs posed for conversation by whoever happened upon them. The azaleas blooming wildly in the background and this wonderful morning sun. Just beautiful! The leaves are falling at an alarming rate (as you can see), but it all adds to the beauty of the scene.
Take some time to enjoy the day! Catch you back here tomorrow!
Just look at how dramatic the clouds are in this photo. Is there anything better than a day full of big, wonderful clouds AND the sun peeking through? This was an ideal spot to be, with the sound of the water lapping the shore. It tends to make your shoulders drop away from your ears!
Peaceful! Happy Saturday!

A window in Charleston, SC – Just look at the colors in that window box! The flowers are beautiful and compliment the color of the house so nicely!
There is nothing like a well taken care of historic home. There is so much maintenance with houses downtown, especially the homes that are built so close together, not allowing sun to get in between, requiring constant painting. But BRAVO Charleston – most homes are just beautiful!

On the way home from downtown (Charleston) one day, Fred and I were in the car… it was dark and gloomy… you could just FEEL that it was going to start pouring rain. Then the clouds shifted, the sun showed it’s bright face which made the clouds even that more dramatic… in the distance… you can just see the rain. For those of you who live around here, this was taken on the James Island Connector (if I remember correctly) and that is the round Holiday Inn heading to the West Ashley section of Charleston.
Clouds are so cool! Catch you back here tomorrow!

Charleston, SC has been voted America’s Most Charming City by Travel and Leisure Magazine… Check out the article via the link…
I have to agree! There is so much charm in this city, it’s unbelievable!

Walking to our car the other day… the trees in Charleston with the bright green new growth, and those magnificent oak trees how their limbs form a canopy over the street. If the cars weren’t there it could look like a different time, couldn’t it?
Enjoy your day and I’ll catch you back here tomorrow!
