Oh! How I wish we were here…

Fred | Monhegan, Maine

Everyone likes to be in their “happy place” – this is ours. Clearly, you can see the joy that we finally made it to the island (old photo, we will not make it there in 2021) – this is one magical place that has a strong magnetic pull for so many of us. Monhegan is a special place in so many ways, but mainly it’s the friendships we’ve made throughout the years.

I truly feel like these people are part of my family. We only see each other once a year (at best), but we stay in constant contact all year long. When one of us is having a tough time we rally behind each other. It’s what friends do. Even from a distance.

I hate to miss everyone again this year, but maybe next year, fingers crossed! If not, we very well may go crazy, ha ha. Patience is a virtue. We’ve been patient. But we miss everyone. My family, extended family (friends) in Maine, ugh.

Just because you can’t make it to a certain location, don’t let that stop you from reaching out and connecting with others along the way. Life isn’t bout the destination, it’s the journey. Sometimes hard to understand, but in time you often see how things work out for the best. Not always, but sometimes… you are lead down a different path.

Where is your happy place? Wherever it may be I hope you are able to go there!

I love this photo – someone is very happy! I love to see that smile! Happy Saturday y’all!

✍️ Until next time…
