There are so many things I’m going to miss about this house, this neighborhood, this incredible yard – the cardinals. They are so plentiful. The birds, bees and butterflies are abundant – I think it’s because we don’t use chemicals in the yard and haven’t for many years now. It also helps that my husband waters often (especially because we are still in a drought) – plants and grass need water.
The cardinals bring a special comfort. They love to build their nests outside of the sunroom, usually just one, they work so hard. It’s incredible to watch them. They’re a wonderful reminder of those who have gone before us. A reminder that they’re thinking of us still. Also, the gardenias in this yard bloom usually in May. But, when you need a reminder that all is well after a bad day, you will look out the window and see a single bloom. Happens all times of year. It’s the most bizarre thing ever.
This house is a safe haven, it has provided love and happiness and has gotten us through darker times. I will think of it often (I only have about 20,000 photos of it, ha ha).
We’re still in the midst of packing – which, for those of you who know me, know I’m in packing hell. Haha… I think it’s the disorganization to get organized that’s getting to me. Purging so we don’t move unnecessary items. 🤯
Okay, let me get back to it! This isn’t a job for the weak hearted.
Happy Sunday!
👩💻 Until next time… ✨ Take a moment to be grateful for at least one thing today – TODAY will be a good day, you’ve got this!
Hi Barbara, I will admit your page has not been feeding out to me for a while so I’m just catching up. You’re moving?!
