I love when people write about their experiences during the pandemic when stay at home orders were in place. I appreciate when someone can take that experience and create something positive – especially when there is so much up in the air and at stake. Today’s featured artist did just that – check it out!

Lyn Asselta! An amazing pastel painter – her paintings have such depth and they are a powerful rendition of the subjects she is painting. She captures the movement of water, wind in the trees, beautiful sunshine on the snow, and so much more.

Patti Vincent. When I saw this painting my jaw dropped. I really love all of Patti’s work, but these plein air paintings just grab me. What I love so much about this one is the color palette. It’s softer and fabulous and gives such a beautiful overall feel.

Brian Miller. A daily painter – serious dedication! So many paintings, all color palettes and subjects. This one spoke to me, I love it! It’s cool and funky and different!

Jim McVicker is a plein air artist living in California. He has a way of adding life to his paintings (perhaps because he paints from life vs. a photo?) whether outdoors or in the studio.

First of all let me just say WOW. Ron Donoughe is an artist with such a unique style, where each and every painting you look at is utter perfection – Just WAIT until you see his work – and his website, whoa!! The paintings are award winners (literally)!

This is a place you would like to be, right? I can almost hear the silence in this Island Woods painting by Janet Ledoux.

Cone Flowers. They make quite a beautiful painting don’t they? I love the pinks and lavenders that Susan Graeber used in this painting – and those touches of dark – really make this painting pop! I like how this painting has an abstract quality to it – just fabulous!

Wow! I absolutely love Andi’s paintings. The first time I saw her paintings I thought of Matisse and Van Gogh. The colors, the shapes… fabulous! I adore the whimsey in Andi’s paintings!

Olives by DC Morale – a New York artist with some cool paintings! There is something familiar and reminiscent in her still life subjects. I remember these olives from childhood. My mom would buy them. I wasn’t an olive eater, but I did think they were cool.
