Do you have a favorite room in your house? One that you gravitate to? Oddly enough, I gravitate to this space during hurricanes and storms (unless there’s a lot of lightening). It’s an out of this world space, spectacular watching this stunning live oak’s Spanish moss dance in the wind. The smaller protected dogwood beside it was beautiful this year. I usually head out to this room in the afternoon.
It’s a room with a view. I love how the resurrection fern in the tree goes from crunchy brown to luscious green with one good rain. It’s a beauty! Menus have been planned from this room, blog posts written, cards sent out, neighborhood association info worked on – also, many hours spent watching the cardinals, finches and the bees in the spring when the ligustrums are blooming and the butterflies when the gomphrena “Truffula Pink” are in pots on the porch soaking up the sun. I love those gorgeous pink blooms!
Where is your favorite spot? Or do you have several?
I’m going to miss this house – it’s been the best house of our lives. August 11 will be our 31 year house anniversary – hard to believe that much time has passed so quickly!
We live in the best neighborhood ever. I’m going to miss some of my neighbors so much, thankful for the numerous ways to communicate these days!
Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
👩💻 Until next time…
✨ Take a moment to be grateful for at least one thing today – TODAY will be a good day, you’ve got this!
