Broad Street Geranium…

DSCN2588

This geranium sits in an office window on Broad Street. It is beautiful year after year… wonder if it’s the same one? Look at that wonderful light! As I write this we are in the midst of an “arctic blast” of cold weather. My fingers feel like they are about to crack… some of this sun would feel mighty nice right now! As you read this I believe our temps are supposed to warm up quite nicely! Woohoo, gotta love Charleston, SC!

Have a great day…

I like the funky blue’s in this photo… this was taken last Friday during the art walk… it was an amazing night for it. I think the prediction of rain kept some people home. There was still a good crowd and it only drizzled right at the very end.  This photo looks like it would make a great painting… those clouds, the car lights, the steeple… nice! Have a great weekend!

Botany Bay (Edisto, SC)…

Botany Bay in the Fall...
Botany Bay in the Fall…

Just look at that cool line of fog/mist on the water, pretty amazing isn’t it? I captured this while we were moving… spectacular shot!

Well, almost a spectacular shot… the line of fog/mist turned out to be the window that was rolled down… darn it!

The stillness, reflections and just pure beauty of that place amazes me! This was taken at Botany Bay, a gorgeous place to visit if you ever get the chance, it’s located near Edisto, SC.

Another short post… back to normal on Friday!

Now this would make one heck of a rooftop painting!

San Francisco, CA… gotta love it!

This would make one heck of a challenging rooftop painting wouldn’t it? Whew, not sure I would want to give it a whirl, but I would enjoy seeing the progression of an artist painting a similar scene. It facinates me how there really is no right or wrong way to paint. I see people break the “rules” all the time and they’re awesome artists… what works for one doesn’t always work for another… I like knowing I have options, ha ha…

A “bouquet” of flowers in the most unexpected place… that’s Monhegan for ya!

Monhegan, Maine

Walking around Monhegan you run across the most unexpected beautiful sights… butterflies everywhere, gorgeous sunsets, happy flowers, the sea and a bouquet every now and then appearing in a spot you just wouldn’t think to see one. It puts a smile on my face every single time.

Charleston Photo: The perfect picnic spot…

Our lunch spot, Botany Bay

I have mentioned in past posts a fabulous place called Botany Bay. The light that filters through the trees is incredible. Every inch of that place is stunning. It appears untouched. The beach is beautiful, the entire area looks like you’ve stepped back in time. This is a photo of our lunch spot. We brought a picnic, opened up the back of the car and sat, ate, listened to the birds, the wind in the trees… wow… Let’s not tell too many people about this place, ok? Keep it to yourself!  Have a great weekend!
