Isn’t this is a good looking plan? It’s not just a pretty face – it’s wonderful on the inside and the outside. I love the wraparound porch! This is a great plan to fit in an established neighborhood and blend in like it’s been there for decades. I would be thrilled both inside and outside in these wonderful spaces.

Doesn’t this house have a grand feel to it? The painted brick looks like it was built many, many years ago – yet freshened up and raring to go. This is a possibility for infill in an existing older neighborhood with similar style homes. Not that homes have to be exact, but their size and scale matters – just so it blends nicely with the existing homes.

Can you imagine being situated on a gorgeous lot overlooking the water. The serenity and stunning views you would have out of almost every room in this house! Downstairs is a masterpiece and upstairs is a brilliant use of space, an expansive loft area with storage. Who couldn’t use that? Who loves a bookstore? I do. I grew up reading and LOVING books. Once I really started reading, my parents would always be sure I had a book. I loved mysteries like the Nancy Drew series. My first “real book” was my mom’s Nancy Drew book that she read as a kid. Pretty cool. I was hooked. Sucked in and transformed into a different city/state/country all the while picturing it as I read. #nothingbetter

My husband and I stopped and had a nice lunch and then thought a drive might be nice – get out and see something different. I ended up taking a lot of photos as the conditions were near perfection!

I love the tudor style peaks in this plan, the high pitched roof and the use of brick. The dormers are a nice touch with windows that open out (would remind me of a Maine cottage we stayed at) – absolutely a delight! On the right side of the house is the garage – I love that you enter from the side vs. looking straight at garage doors. Nothing wrong with garage doors, but if I had my choice… this would be a preference.

House plans are a favorite for many of you who visit this site. For the serious lookers – those of you planning to build in the near future, to the dreamers who think about moving, building, and what type of house plan would best suit them. Considerable time should be spent finding just the right plan for you, you’ll know when you find it, and if one is close, check with the architect/designer, most will make changes that can work for you. I know good house plans when I see them. This, of course, is a good one! I love the steep roof, the front porch, the scale of this home is nice – just wait until you “step inside”, it feels much larger than it’s square footage!

Pretty amazing, isn’t it? Believe it or not this is a smaller plan (not tiny, but not massive) that is designed to be open and spacious, making it feel like a much larger house. This is a one floor plan with a few cool bonuses… This would be the lakeside view – stunning, right? The front is very nice, but this is where I would be most of the time.
