A Quick Daydream Vacation…
Sometimes it’s nice to get away. Somewhere different from where you are. If the weather is hot, then a cool location sounds wonderful. If it’s cool it would be nice to feel the sun shining. Cleaning out photos the other day I ran across this photo taken years ago at the Ritz Carlton – Amelia Island. We went for a few years at Thanksgiving and what a great time we had. It looks like most of Mark’s work is plein air (painted from life – outdoors) – he’s able to catch the spontaneity of changing light/colors. I LOVE THIS PHOTO. Not sure why. It’s got so many things going on. Sometimes a quick snap can turn into something so visually interesting – something you could write many stories about… It looks like something in a scary movie to me… I think it’s the moon, the angle and the house that does it. Charlie can be so photogenic – he is one of my favorite subjects. That messy hair, those soulful eyes and that happy look. His shadows blow me away, especially when we’re walking – that wild hair sticking out all over, makes me laugh…

Cruise bound – 11 years ago today.
11 years ago today… ELEVEN! Where has the time gone? I remember it like it was yesterday. My parents came to visit from Michigan, and we went on a cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines out of Charleston, SC – we had so much fun.
