A few wild storms blew through Charleston, SC a few weeks ago and whoosh, it was over. Nothing horrific, thankfully. However, what occurred after the storms subsided was breathtakingly beautiful. The blurriness would be from the raindrops. This color – I love it!

This plant is such a joy I cannot even begin to express how much I absolutely adore it. We planted a few in pots last year – around this time, they bloomed all summer long! Literally you do nothing but make sure they don’t get too dry (especially in a pot). Give them a nice drink of water when they look thirsty and they’re good!

It was officially spring yesterday a little after 5AM EST and I thought this was the perfect photo to share. I love this flower, it was stunning. (I took this photo, but this is not at my house) – I’m not sure of the name of it, but there were plenty and they were beautiful! Very springy! The weather is warming the flowers are blooming – it’s our most beautiful season.

What have you been doing? Oh, not much, just deleting overhead power lines from a beautiful image, sigh… In this area where I snapped this photo while driving by (as the passenger) it was riddled with power lines. So many of them. I don’t have technical wizardry to remove these things, I erase a little at a time until *poof* it’s gone!

We were heading back from Charlotte, NC yesterday and I saw “PEACE” painted on an overpass. How timely. Is there anything we should wish for more than this? Despite the heavy traffic the sentiment jumped out at me as something that is sorely needed (my opinion)… So thank you to whoever painted it, looks like it may have been there a while, but peace is always needed.

I took this photo one beautiful January evening. We were chasing a sunset, trying to make it to the boat landing where the view is stunning, before the sun set completely. It happens so fast!
