Edward Duff. His paintings will WOW you! This painting reminds me so much of where I grew up. We lived on a very cool river in Michigan, near Canada. The view across the river is very much like this image. The sunrises and sunsets that we would see are breathtaking. Continue reading “Featured Artist: Edward Duff!”

Michael Hedges. Michael was inspired by the Polar Vortex that affected so much of the country with the coldest temps on record for many areas. This painting is fabulous – with the (VERY) cool (icy) blues, the ENERGY and the airiness. I love all of Michael’s colorful paintings, they’re so dynamic. This one was a bit different, as was the Polar Vortex! You can tell that this man loves to paint! Continue reading “Featured Artist: Michael Hedges!”

Mepkin Abbey is a Trappist Monestary located in Moncks Corner, SC. It is STUNNINGLY beautiful. When you walk around the grounds it’s like going back in time. Continue reading “Another Photo From the Archives: Mepkin Abbey in Moncks Corner, SC!”

I have so many images on my computer – it’s getting a little mind boggling. Last year I spent a good week going through images and deleting. But I love so many of them and keep them – time to “spring clean” again! Continue reading “A Photo From the Archives | Rockport, ME”
Afternoon Boat Wash by Albert Kline 12×16″ WatercolorAlbert (Al) Kline. His paintings contain a bit of magic. I think “Afternoon Boat Wash” is a fabulous painting. I love the movement (the water from the hose is amazing!), the bits of color, the gorgeous water and the stunning, but subtle, background. Continue reading “Featured Artist: Albert Kline!”

White Rhapsody by Zufar Bikbov 12×9″ OilZufar Bikbov. A wildly talented artist. Perusing his website trying to make a decision on which painting to feature wasn’t easy. This one grabbed me right off, but so did most of them, check for yourself, I’m sure you’ll agree! Continue reading “Featured Artist: Zufar Bikbov!”

As I mentioned over the weekend, many people tell themselves that they can’t draw – but that’s not true! If you can write, you can draw! It just takes practice. LOTS of practice. I would guess that 99% of artists do not pick up a brush and create a masterpiece time after time. Painting (like drawing) takes practice. Lots of practice. It takes a lot of paintings before you get your groove. Continue reading “Fishing For Elephants by Larry Moore | En Train Air Artists Travel & Paint!”

Have any of you used your iPad to sketch? The app that I loved never updated for my current iPad, so I am using a different app and it’s ok (I don’t need fancy), but eh… not my favorite. Wondering what you use? Continue reading “Yes YOU Can!”
